Strokkur

Strokkur is a reliable geysir that errupts every 6 minutes or so up to a height of 30m. It is located near Geysir - the original after which all others around the world are named.

Geysir became blocked in the 1950's after visitors threw too many rocks into it in order to set it off. Earthquakes have removed some of the blockage and it last errupted in 2000.
